Welcome!

Hi, I’m Lizzy!

My passion for writing (and reading!) started very young and as I grew up I found that books were a much welcomed escape and safe haven.

Reading books allowed me to feel seen in my experiences, (including my battles with mental illness) and allowed me to escape when life got too much.

So now I write to help others, aiming to give those who read my work comfort. To provide an escape or even clarity alike the one I felt whilst reading.

My Work

In August 2023 I was published in Issue 11 of Wishbone Words Magazine, with a piece called ‘Invisible Humans‘ inspired by my late sister and myself.

As part of my Creative Writing degree at York St John University I took part in the creation of the ‘Beyond the Walls’ anthology. In 2021 I took part as a member of the Events and Podcasts Team and then a year later in 2022, I had the chance to submit writing of my own. I graduated from YSJ in 2022, with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing.

I have also written for Mindless.Mag as part of a digital, micro-internship programme. I wrote four articles in total, my favourite being my piece on Circular Economy which opened my eyes to the the relationships between fashion and climate change.
